General Gynaecology
A commitment to your health starts with prevention. We are here to guide you through the most relevant tests and screening options.
A Pap smear and an ultrasound of the pelvis are generally done yearly to exclude pre cancerous lesions of the cervix and cysts or cancer of the ovaries.
Mammogram and an ultrasound of the breasts are currently advised for women over 40. Follow up tests are advised at 18 months or biannually.
Bone mass density scan is advised for women in the menopause or earlier if at risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis.
We offer different panels of blood tests to screen for general health, hormonal balance, vitamin and mineral deficiency.
We also treat common conditions like bacterial vaginosis (candida or yeast infections), urinary tract infections or menstrual irregularities from adolescence through menopause.
Some of our patients will have more specific medical/gynaecological issues like infertility, fibroids, ovarian or vaginal cysts, endometriosis or pre cancerous lesions. Our specialists are trained laparoscopists and general gynaecological surgeons with a long practice of treating successfully these conditions.
We attract a large number of patients in the years leading to menopause from their mid-thirties on who become concerned primarily with mood changes, difficulty with weight loss, bloating and insomnia – conditions all related to their menstrual cycles not only in the perimenopause but also in the menopause. We have been able to help with a combination of freshly compounded natural hormones and lifestyle adjustments.
